Restaurant Support Center to Include Product Innovation Center, Integrated Quiznos University for Franchise Owners and Flagship Store

DENVER - Quiznos, one of the nation’s fastest-growing quick service restaurant chains and pioneer of the toasted sandwich, today announced plans to open a state-of-the-art Restaurant Support Center (Quiznos Corporate Headquarters) in downtown Denver. Development plans for the new facilities include all Quiznos corporate staff offices, a product innovation center with a test kitchen, an integrated Quiznos University and a flagship store for the public. Similar facilities are currently housed in separate locations.

“Quiznos is truly a Denver institution and these new facilities, including the flagship store, will pay homage to the rich local heritage Rick Schaden and his family started here many years ago,” said Greg Brenneman, CEO of Quiznos. “We are particularly excited about the opportunity to bring thousands of franchise owners each year into our integrated headquarters, which will include Quiznos University and our new Franchise Owner Wall of Fame. This will allow everyone who works in the restaurant support center to interact with franchise owners daily.”

“I’m pleased that Greg and the management team have chosen to maintain the corporate headquarters in Denver,” added Rick Schaden, Quiznos founder and Denver-area philanthropist. Schaden’s family foundation recently donated $1.5 million to Denver’s Road Home plan for fighting homelessness. “Denver has served as Quiznos’ home since its inception and has played a key role in supporting our widespread growth. We remain committed to the city as Greg and his management team take Quiznos to next-level growth and brand success.”

Set to open during the third quarter of 2008, the free-standing flagship store will be the first of its kind – a four sided glass structure that will be attractive and inviting to customers while allowing the public to view the full Quiznos experience from the street.

“We have proudly watched Quiznos grow into one of the nation’s largest sandwich brands and we are honored by their continued commitment to the city of Denver,” said Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper. “We look forward to a long relationship with Quiznos.”

The restaurant support center will be located on 1001 17(th) Street in Denver and is expected to open by early 2009. Quiznos has approximately 900 employees and over 4,500 franchise owners nationwide.
